Job Summary
The Program Director of Physician Assistant Studies is responsible for overseeing all academic, clinical, and research activities within the program, ensuring adherence to ARC-PA accreditation standards, supervising faculty and staff, managing the curriculum, resources, and budgets, and supporting student and faculty success. The role requires a graduate-level degree, a current or eligible State of Illinois PA license, and at least three years of higher education experience. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position with limited teaching duties focused on program leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate-level degree in physician assistant studies
- Current or eligible for State of Illinois PA license
- At least three years of full-time higher education experience, with teaching responsibilities at the post-secondary level
- Demonstrated abilities in teaching, scholarship, service, and mentorship
Desired Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in a related field
- Experience with ARC-PA, or other accreditation
- Evidence of visionary, dynamic leadership with high standards
- Demonstrated success in leading high-functioning teams through change
