Job Summary
Manage day-to-day programmatic operations of the 52-bed transitional shelter, ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with DHS and HELP policies. Provide administrative and case management support to the assistant director and social service team, while recruiting, orienting, and evaluating all staff to ensure quality services. Develop staff satisfaction and retention, assess service delivery effectiveness, and coordinate with maintenance and security to maintain a safe facility. Track expenses, process purchases, and maintain accurate records in agency systems. Provide on-call support for emergencies and after-hours coverage. Build relationships with community partners and coordinate referrals to support participant needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field
- Minimum of five years' management experience
- Proven supervisory and staff development skills
- Proven ability to lead in residential or shelter-based environments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with DSS, DHS, OTDA, and best practices in supportive housing and homelessness services
