Job Summary
Lead the ACGME application process and build a premier Emergency Medicine residency program on Florida's West Coast, starting as a consultant during accreditation and transitioning to a .5 FTE Program Director role. Design the program structure, curriculum, and educational strategy while maintaining clinical Emergency Medicine practice. Establish a supportive, collaborative learning environment with protected administrative time exceeding ACGME minimums. The position begins as a consulting role during the accreditation process and transitions to a .5 FTE Program Director role upon program approval, with the remaining FTE dedicated to clinical practice.
Required Qualifications
- Board certification in ABEM or AOBEM
- Minimum 3 years of recent educational and/or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited residency
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Program Director or Associate Program Director experience
- A passion for resident education
- A strong background in graduate medical education
- Demonstrated excellence in leadership, curriculum development, and scholarly activity
