Job Summary
Lead the Programming Department for Rock 101 and CFOX by effectively managing and coaching heritage talent while driving ratings growth through strategic leadership. Fearlessly develop and execute detailed strategic and operational plans to set high performance standards and mentor both seasoned talent and emerging stars. Collaborate with corporate and radio division teams to implement broad strategic initiatives and play a pivotal role in developing revenue-generating programming and integrated offerings. Manage general administration, HR matters, and budget oversight as a key member of the senior management team.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in radio broadcasting, broadcast communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in radio operations
- Proven ability to coach and direct on-air talent both individually and as part of a team
- A collaborative mindset with a willingness to share ideas across Corus Programming platforms
- Demonstrated understanding of multi-platform branding (on-air, online, on-site)
- Experience in successfully managing the programming department of a radio station
- Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced, continuously evolving industry
- Strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders and partners
- History of leveraging programming to drive revenue
- Must possess strong leadership qualities, including candor, openness, integrity, respect, and innovative thinking
