Job Summary
Lead residential programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs; supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs); drive implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and partner on Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs); provide leadership during crisis situations ensuring safe, consistent, and compliant responses; collaborate with families, case managers, and clinical teams to ensure quality care; manage program operations including staffing, budgets, and compliance; train new and existing staff on behavioral interventions, safety protocols, and best practices; conduct performance management including coaching, evaluations, and disciplinary action as needed; participate in an on-call rotation, supporting both traditional and behavioral programs; travel to Madison is required; in-office, Monday through Friday full-time with on-call flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field
- 2+ years of leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses
- At least one-year, hands-on experience with behavioral interventions and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
- Proven ability to manage crisis situations, de-escalation, and high-risk behaviors
- Experience in residential, group home, or behavioral health settings highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and acceptable driving record
