Job Summary

Implement the Power Scholars curriculum and lesson plans at Seaton Elementary School, establishing routines and behavior guidelines for children in the K-PreK3-PreK4 age group. Oversee daily program operations, ensuring safety and emergency procedures are followed while maintaining a clean classroom environment. Communicate with families regarding parent/child events and program updates. Work Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm as a part-time Sr. Group Leader. Obtain CDA certification within 18 months and hold current CPR and First Aid certification.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • CDA within 18 months of employment
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Documentation of physical examination and TB skin test
  • Clear the local jurisdiction requirements for criminal background and/or fingerprinting
  • Meet the county/state licensing requirements
  • Critical skill of being able to relate to parents, school staff and children and have a positive, creative attitude
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Physically active to play games and sports with the children
  • Ability to pick-up at least 35 pounds
  • Visual acuity to observe all children
  • Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm
