Job Summary
Lead the development of complex construction/engineering programs from concept through execution, serving as the primary client-facing design lead and coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and construction teams to transform customer requirements into executable solutions. Responsibilities include driving design solutions from concept through detailed engineering, leading design reviews and workshops, ensuring alignment with program requirements and schedule, identifying and mitigating risks early, and leveraging lessons learned for standardization and continuous improvement across programs. Requires strong collaboration with Estimating, Procurement, and Engineering to evaluate cost impacts, opportunities for value engineering, and ensuring design compliance with codes and customer requirements. Managerial aspects include leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets and cost estimates, and maintaining the Program Requirements Documentation as the single Source-of-Truth, ensuring smooth transition from design to program execution.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Associate's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 12+ years of experience in engineering, preconstruction, or general/MEP contracting
- Strong knowledge of ETO (Engineered-to-Order) product design
- Design-Build, Mission Critical, and integrated project delivery models
- Experience leading client-facing meetings, design reviews, and cross-functional project teams
- Proven ability to manage project schedules, coordinate stakeholders, and drive design decisions to completion
- Travel: 10-50%
