Program Coordinator - School of Phlebotomy

Job Summary
Direct the planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating of the phlebotomy program daily while maintaining standards and organizing assignments and academic reports. Create a positive campus and clinical atmosphere that fosters student learning by serving as a professional role model and executing design, implementation, and evaluation processes with faculty and the Director. Manage daily operations including space scheduling, student registration processes, and application lifecycle support from pre-program paperwork through completion. Coordinate curriculum aspects, placement for classroom and clinical practice within the St Luke's Health Network, and communicate with Outpatient Lab Regional Managers regarding externship assignments. Recruit, orient, and manage student disciplinary escalations as defined in the school handbook.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree
- MLT equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited allied healthcare program
- Allied healthcare course of study
- Professional certification in Phlebotomy from a nationally recognized certification organization
- Minimum of 2 years experience in administrative/management experience directing program initiatives/activities enabling expected program outcomes/deliverables
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office & Windows applications
- Strong experience with developing & providing verbal and written communications for recipients of varying education levels (students, families, SLUHN management levels, external agencies, etc)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years educational administrative/management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Phlebotomy experience
- Demonstrated competence and effectiveness as a professional phlebotomist in full time environment
- Evidence of at least two years teaching experience in a healthcare-related field in past 5 years
- Experience with a learning management system such as CANVAS, Blackboard, etc.
- Maintenance of certified phlebotomy competency
