Job Summary
Conduct outreach to recruit diverse youth and adult leaders, developing relationships with local decision-makers to support countywide campaigns. Supervise and mentor youth leaders in implementing advocacy initiatives, including managing up to three concurrent groups focused on health equity and social justice. Utilize social media tools to organize the youth base, facilitate community data gathering, and secure stakeholder support from schools and community members. Produce regular reports for funders and attend government meetings as needed during active campaigns. Requires a personal vehicle, ability to work evenings and weekends, and 2-3 years of youth development experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years relevant experience in the field of youth development
- B.A.
- Commitment to social justice, public health, and community organizing as strategies to affect change
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Able to work some evenings and weekends
- Access to a personal vehicle
- Clean driving record
