Program Coordinator (First-Year Experience)

Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and evaluate all components of the First-Year Experience (FYE) program, including Registration Day, New Student Orientation, and Welcome Week. Develop and coordinate goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the FYE program; collaborate with faculty, staff, and advisers to create program activities and expand student opportunities. Supervise the Peer Advisor program; develop yearly calendars of events and workshops; monitor budgets and allocate resources. Identify training needs through surveys and research best practices for incoming students; provide leadership within the Student Success Center and participate in professional development opportunities. Work with counterparts on other campuses to align student experience programming and improve retention and persistence rates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Experience developing and supporting program activities
- Knowledge of methods used to collect, analyze, and assemble pertinent facts; evaluate, arrange, and present responses; and to review written reports and prepare summaries to facilitate program operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrable evidence of the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and a diverse student population
- Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office, and other related software packages
