Job Summary
Lead site administration for partner agencies by overseeing comprehensive after-school program operations, including staff coaching, curriculum delivery, and daily activity management. Maintain positive relationships with key partners, site staff, and families while managing site budgets, payroll, and inventory. Supervise instructor teams, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure adherence to safety, cleanliness, and behavioral standards. Collaborate on training, community events, and program policies to support student development in STEAM and SEL. This part-time role requires 30 hours per week at $27–$29/hour and includes bi-weekly budget reconciliations and bi-weekly touchpoints with partner leads.
Required Qualifications
- Passion and experience working with children
- Experience working with youth of all ages
- Previous involvement or experience in an after-school environment
- Proven experience in hiring, coaching and managing a team of employees
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team
- High sense of responsibility and dependability
- Strong communication skills, especially in interactions with partners and families and via computer (emails, slack to other EDMO staff, etc)
- Skilled in problem-solving, multi-tasking, creativity, and flexibility
- Experience in facilitating groups of children and proven classroom management
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Completion of 48 college units
- Ability to take and pass the EDMO Instructional Exam
- CPR/First Aid Certification is required by the start date. The certification must include an in-person CPR component
- Ability to read small print and view a computer screen for prolonged periods
- Ability to tolerate exposure to noisy conditions
- Ability to be understood in face-to-face communications, to speak with a level of proficiency and volume to be understood over a telephone or computer
- Ability to use hands to grasp, and manipulate small objects; manipulate fingers, twist and bend at wrist and elbow; extend arms to reach outward and upward; use hands and arms to lift objects; turn, raise, and lower head
- Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects which weigh up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to encounter constant work interruptions; work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to read, write, understand, interpret and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance
- Math skills at a high school proficiency level
- Judgment and the ability to process information quickly
- Learn quickly and follow verbal procedures and standards
- Give verbal instruction
- Rank tasks in order of importance
- Copy, compare, compile and coordinate information and records
- Understand how to manage stress
