Program Coordinator - CLS Programs - Temporary FT

Job Summary

Lead day-to-day operations of assigned Community Living programs, recruiting, onboarding, and supervising staff while ensuring compliance with agency and licensing standards. Collaborate with individuals, families, and community partners to support person-centred goals and manage program budgets and reporting. Foster a high-performing team culture and provide leadership during crises, including participation in an after-hours on-call rotation covering Supported Homes from 4:30 PM to 8:30 AM Monday through Thursday. This temporary full-time role reports to the Director of Community Living Services in Kamloops, BC. The position offers a 3-month term with 35 hours per week, including wage increases based on seniority and access to extended health benefits, pension, and fully paid training opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree (preferred) or Diploma in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience supporting individuals with diverse abilities
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience with person-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practice
  • Knowledge of community living services, documentation standards, and health and safety requirements
  • Strong organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to crisis situations and make sound decisions
  • Knowledge of community resources and supports for individuals with diverse abilities
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence with a safe driving record
  • Reliable vehicle (business use insurance with $5M liability may be required; premium reimbursement available)
  • Successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
  • TB clearance
  • Willingness to participate in the after-hours on-call rotation
