Job Summary
Deliver high-quality after-school programming for school-age youth aligned with Project Learn's goals, overseeing planning and implementation across academics, recreation, arts, and physical education. Supervise and support staff and volunteers while fostering positive behavior and engagement in a safe, inclusive environment. Lead afternoon group programming, maintain consistent youth interaction, and collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to ensure youth success. Continuously evaluate Club programs to address member needs and cultural diversity, managing program expenses within the approved budget. Occasionally support different Club sites to meet staffing needs and may be required to drive the Club van periodically. Must be at least 21 years old, pass background checks, and possess strong organizational and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must pass a National Background Check and Driving Record Check
Desired Qualifications
- A four-year degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent, is preferred
- A minimum of two years' work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics
- Collaborative approach and team-oriented mindset
