Job Summary

Program Coordinator - Community Oncology Education and Care Transitions leads the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for primary care providers, cancer surgeons, CCMB staff, and Community Cancer Program staff across Manitoba. The role advances health equity, cultural safety, and trauma- and violence-informed practice with a focus on First Nations, Métis, Inuit peoples and equity-denied populations. Responsibilities include coordinating transitions of care, ensuring quality control of clinical processes, supporting materials development from intake through publication, and coordinating grant submissions, reporting, and workplans. The incumbent supervises the Community Oncology Program Education team and collaborates with education coordinators and a broad range of provincial stakeholders to ensure programs and patient resources respond to identified needs and align with CCMB priorities and accreditation requirements. Preferred qualifications include Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racism training and PMP/PRINCE2/PMBOK or PROSCI certifications, with additional knowledge of EHRs and cancer care systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Post secondary degree in Health Sciences, Social Services or Nursing
  • Post-secondary education in project management preferred
  • Masters degree preferred
  • 3 years project management experience
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • 2 years program planning and evaluation experience
  • 2 years experience in planning educational programs or events for adults
  • 1 year of experience with writing applications for grant funding and progress reports, developing and managing work plans and budgets
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
