Job Summary

Program Chief Engineer to coordinate and execute engineering day-to-day activities for the LVCTS program across Canada. Responsibilities include leading day-to-day engineering personnel, generating technical documentation (architectures, design, specifications, Interface Control Documents, verification and validation plans), leading System of Systems reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) for LVCTS and subsystems, managing engineering requirements for a multi-subcontractor development, collaborating with IPTs to ensure timely deliverables, performing trade studies on new technologies, estimating engineering effort, supporting EV accountability and EACs, ensuring compliance with technical processes (EBRs, EPRs), applying TPMs to monitor progress and risk, identifying and managing technical Risks and Opportunities, developing SOWs and requirements specifications for suppliers, producing status reports, supporting business development, and mentoring engineering staff. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering disciplines, professional registration eligibility, 10+ years in systems engineering, and 5+ years of simulated military training environments, with strong leadership, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration skills. The role supports a hybrid work arrangement with set onsite days, and requires eligibility for security clearance and potential international travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Design Engineering, or a related field
  • Eligible for professional registration (Professional Engineer) in province of practice
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or development environments
  • 5+ years of experience with simulated environments for military training
  • Strong project engineering management skills including forecasting and budgeting
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with business capture as a product provider and system integrator
  • Proficiency in System Engineering and ILS, Digital Technologies Implementation, and Life Cycle Management for military programs
  • Familiarity with DOORS, MBSE, MBSE tooling, and modeling/simulation architectures
  • Bilingual (French & English) highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Ability to obtain Government security clearance
