Job Summary
Leading and shaping WGU's Special Education licensure programs as Program Chair by providing domain-level leadership, vision, and strategy to ensure high-quality, innovative online programs. Oversee curriculum design, assessment development, faculty development, student success metrics, and program accreditation. Forge external partnerships, manage outcomes analyses, and drive continuous improvement to align programs with workforce needs and regulatory standards. Responsible for ensuring course playbooks, learning guides, and competencies are clearly outlined and that program and course content remain rigorous, relevant, and aligned with student outcomes. Positions requires mastery-level expertise, cross-functional collaboration with faculty and leadership, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders across multiple teams to advance program quality and articulation opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in education or a related area from an accredited institution
- 5 years of demonstrated teaching excellence in online context
- 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in curriculum design, implementation, and oversight
- Experience in accreditation and regulatory standards
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Proven ability to influence across matrixed organizations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
