Job Summary
Oversee the nursing program by supervising faculty, adjuncts, and support staff while managing hiring, training, development, and evaluation. Lead programmatic management duties including data collection, analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement to ensure students bridge the gap between theory and practice. Direct academic leadership within intimate class sizes and simulation environments, leveraging subject matter expertise and pedagogical mastery to assess student learning and promote diversity. This onsite role in Birmingham, AL reports to the Director of Campus Operations. Compensation ranges from $106,121 to $143,575.
Required Qualifications
- Master's of Science in Nursing
- Active, unencumbered registered nurse license for the state of Alabama
- At least three years experience as a registered nurse
- At least two years experience as a faculty member in a registered nursing education program
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Ability to move about readily and rapidly, if necessary, around campus, classrooms, clinical settings, etc.
- Constantly communicates using the spoken word with students, staff and colleagues
- Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess
- Operate equipment specific to programmatic track, personal computer, audio-visual equipment, clinical equipment, etc.
- Travel to off-site meetings or conferences or to observe students during clinical education at off-site clinical settings
- Stand and/or walk for extended periods of the time
- Ability to reach by extending hands or arms in any direction
- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects
- Ability to see and hear within normal parameters
- Lift up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree
- Experience with a practical nursing education program
- Experience with programmatic accreditation
