Job Summary
Lead asynchronous undergraduate and graduate courses for adult learners while supervising associate faculty and mentoring doctoral students. Deliver high-quality online instruction, chair dissertation committees, and ensure academic integrity through timely feedback and inclusive engagement. Develop and improve course materials, collaborate with instructional designers, and support program-level assessment cycles. Review doctoral research projects, oversee oral defenses, and align research with IRB requirements. Participate in shared governance activities, hiring committees, and accreditation efforts. Balance teaching, service, and administrative responsibilities within a flexible work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Earned terminal degree (CPA) in a discipline aligned with the academic program
- Three years of online teaching and learning experience, including curriculum development and assessment strategies
- Three to five years of practical professional work experience in a relevant field
Desired Qualifications
- Applied professional experience in the field preferred
- For certain programs, professional experience can qualify the applicant in lieu of the terminal degree
- Commitment to departmental and university collegiality through engagement in service activities
- Experience contributing to a strategic vision, increasing student success, and fostering growth
- Experience with qualitative or quantitative research
- Experience working with adult, non-traditional, and post-traditional learners
- Three years of undergraduate teaching experience in Health Psychology
- Three years of graduate-level teaching experience in psychology
