Job Summary
Program Business Development Manager focused on driving new business and managing strategic relationships with program administrators within HSB Custom Risk Solutions. Responsibilities include prospecting growth opportunities with MGAs, MGA aggregators, brokerages with delegated authority, and program managers serving the public sector; maintaining pipeline from engagement through design, negotiation, and contract execution; coordinating program placement with client teams; representing Custom Risk Solutions at conferences and client events; staying current on offerings and delivering tailored insurance, engineering, technology, and risk management solutions; building executive-level relationships with client leadership and cross-functional teams to align client priorities with growth objectives; collaboration with P&S and broker-relationship leaders on opportunities across major broker networks (e.g., Alliant, AmWins, Aon, Brown & Brown, CRC, Gallagher, Marsh, Ryan Specialty); strong emphasis on account planning, consultative sales, and effective communication.”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience in a client-facing role within the insurance industry, with significant portion in programs space
- Proven business development experience including prospecting, solution design, deal negotiation, and contract execution
- Experience managing strategic client relationships and delivering profitable growth
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in account management or client-focused solution selling roles
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree preferred
