Job Summary
Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data while providing assistance with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and money management. Deliver personal care and supervision to support life growth, teaching functional skills to help individuals achieve personal goals and transition to less restrictive settings. Accompany residents to healthcare appointments and community outings, resolving problem behavior situations using approved crisis techniques. Complete required paperwork, maintain effective communication with families and guardians, and work flexible hours including at least 40 hours per month and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License in the candidates' legal name and current address. One year minimum driving experience. License should be in good standing and free of restrictions.
- Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Aspiration to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals
- Must work at least 40 hrs. per month
- Must work weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
