Job Summary
Provide administrative, logistical, communications, data management, and event coordination support for the WomenLeaders India Fellowship, including workshops, webinars, meetings, participant touchpoints, travel arrangements, and India-based program events; support recruitment, participant communications, documentation, and coordination with India partners and internal Vital Voices teams; maintain calendars, records, and program materials; draft and organize program materials, social media inputs, blogs, toolkits, and participant-facing resources; ensure accurate program data in Salesforce/Airtable; assist with finance tasks, vendor coordination, and digital tools usage; requires a Bachelor's degree, 0-2 years of relevant experience, and willingness to work in a hybrid, Washington, DC-based role with occasional travel; Hindi language skills and experience with India-focused programs are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in international relations, international development, women's and gender studies, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- 0-2 years of experience in administrative, programmatic, logistical, communications, or event support roles, preferably in a nonprofit, mission-driven, international development, or women's leadership context
- Experience supporting virtual and/or in-person program activities, including scheduling, materials preparation, participant communications, and logistics
- Demonstrated interest in global women's issues, women's leadership, women's entrepreneurship, civil society, social impact, and/or advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
- Experience coordinating logistics for programs, including travel, accommodations, meeting preparation, vendors, supplies, or participant support
- Ability to prioritize tasks, swiftly shift priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and self-awareness, with the ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contexts
- Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (esp. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), social networking tools, and database software (i.e., Salesforce)
- Experience working in or with India, South Asia, or India-focused leadership, entrepreneurship, civil society, or international development programs preferred
- Hindi or other relevant Indian language skills preferred
- This position is a full-time, non-exempt hybrid position based in Washington, DC with two days of required in person attendance at the Vital Voices Headquarters
- If and when it is safe to travel, domestic and international travel up to 30% may be required for the position
