Job Summary
Conduct routine laboratory and general technical tasks for assigned instructional labs, including collecting, preparing, cleaning, and storing glassware and equipment. Prepare reagents, chemical solutions, and stains while maintaining records and files. Set up labs for experiments, distribute materials, and assist in the operation and maintenance of instructional facilities. Participate in planning exercises and implement new policies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Requires a high school diploma, college-level science lab course, and ability to work independently with light physical exertion. Pay starts at $15.45/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of at least one college-level science laboratory course
- Knowledge of basic laboratory safety protocols
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience or ability to work with, troubleshoot, and maintain assigned equipment
- Ability to be accurate and detailed oriented
- Ability to use sound judgement
