Job Summary
Monitor student activity, safety, and behavior during playground, cafeteria, detention, and street crossing activities. Enforce District policies, resolve minor behavioral issues, and report serious problems to teachers or administrators. Supervise students in detention rooms, maintain comprehensive records, prepare parent letters, and confer with school staff. Ensure safe traffic stops and escort students across streets. Provide basic first aid, make initial medical assessments, and summon appropriate medical response when needed. Perform related clerical duties and assist other personnel as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a first-aid and CPR card
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
- Some experience working with students
- Skill in working with other adults and with students with a variety of skill levels
- monitoring student activities and behavior

- Monitor student educational progress
- advise teacher(s) of student progress or perceived deficiencies
- Patiently and effectively work with students
- including students with behavioral problems and mild learning disabilities
