Job Summary
Part-time Program Assistant supports program teams with reception and clerical duties, intake and client/applicant tracking, data entry, meeting coordination, document preparation, and reporting. Responsibilities include directing callers to appropriate staff, providing information to clients/visitors/volunteers, maintaining filing systems, preparing agendas and minutes, handling mail and office equipment, and assisting with orientation of casual program staff. Requires Grade 12 or equivalent with related post-secondary office procedures coursework, one year of related experience, 50 wpm typing, proficiency in MS Office and database programs, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and multitask in a professional environment.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- related post-secondary courses in office procedures
- One (1) year recent related experience
- Typing speed of 50 wpm
- Proficient with MS Office and database programs
- Strong organizational skills; able to follow through on administrative procedures; uses time effectively
- Able to work independently, prioritize, use initiative
