Job Summary
Provide immigration support and advocacy to clients in the Seattle office, assisting outreach to the immigrant and refugee community. Support the Staff Attorney and Immigration Specialist with naturalization, adjustment of status, and family reunification matters. Complete administrative tasks including uploading USCIS notices, organizing files, and scheduling client appointments. Maintain accurate client files and detailed case notes while attending ongoing training on Immigration Law. Requires 1 year of related experience, HS diploma, and fluency in English and Spanish. Part-time schedule of 18.75 hours per week with access to 403b, paid holidays, and sick leave.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of related experience
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated fluency in English AND Spanish, both spoken and written
- Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites
- Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers
- Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment
- Demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
- Successfully completes tasks in a moderately noisy environment
- Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with moderate periods of stationary activity and moderate periods of increased physical activity
- Moves equipment/materials weighing up to 15 pounds
- Travels between worksites occasionally
- Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, and faith-based settings such as churches
- Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
