Job Summary
Provide program, community, and facilities support for MountainStar at the Redmond, OR site. Assist the Program Manager on projects, deliver developmentally appropriate activities for children 6 weeks to 4 years, and contribute to trauma-informed, therapeutic care in a classroom setting. Prepare and serve USDA meals following guidelines and maintain record-keeping. Participate in staffing around family/children’s issues, support transportation and drop-off/pick-up of children and families, greet visitors, assist with intake and donations, and help maintain clothes closets and the food bank. Collaborate with a team to ensure high-quality services, and engage with diverse families to promote healthy child development. This is a 32-hour-per-week, part-time role with benefits, starting at $20+ per hour depending on experience; wage differential may apply for bilinguals. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, pass background checks, and obtain required certifications within stated timelines. Equal opportunity employer. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual Spanish speakers
- Microsoft Office Suites, Proficiency
- Previous Office Experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
- Background check
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within 60 days of employment
- Food handler’s card
- Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect course
- Introduction to Child Care Health & Safety course
- Safe Sleep course
- Prevention is Better than Treatment course
