Job Summary
Assistant Director to support the development and implementation of DYCD-funded youth programs (e.g., Cornerstones, SONYC, COMPASS) at the Lafayette Gardens Community Center. Responsible for supervising staff and participants, overseeing daily operations, coordinating schedules, and managing administrative tasks. Communicates with families, ensures program policies are followed, and complies with contractual obligations. Duties include staff training and supervision, outreach to recruit participants, program development, data entry into DYCD Connect, budgeting/reporting, and cultivating partnerships with community organizations. Requires collaboration with program director, adherence to DOH/DOE policies, and engagement with families and stakeholders to support program needs.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite is required
- Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred
- Valid NYS Food Handlers Certificate preferred
- Valid S-95 and F07 FDNY certification preferred
- Familiarity with DYCD Connect is preferred
- Knowledge of DOH SACC regulations and policies is preferred
- Pre-employment requirements include NYSDOH Fingerprinting Screening, NYS Clearance Review, SEL, 3 reference checks, and TB test
