Job Summary
Program Assistant for Cascade AIDS Project in Portland, OR (Davis St office). Serves as first point of contact between clients/visitors and CAP service providers, delivering compassionate customer service and administrative support to front-line staff and Housing and Support Services. In-office 32 hours/week, Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm; union-represented with pay scales increasing with tenure. Responsibilities include greeting clients, directing them to appropriate staff, providing information about CAP services, assisting with Ryan White certifications, maintaining lobby appearance, and supporting program needs. Requires at least two years of clerical support experience or an Associate’s degree/equivalent plus experience; strong written/oral communication, organization, time management, and ability to serve diverse populations. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent and one year of experience providing similar support OR at least two years of experience providing similar clerical support in a high-volume service-based organization
- excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently or within a team with accountability and professionalism
- strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
- demonstrated ability to track and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- demonstrated experience working with ethnically, racially, economically, and sexually diverse populations and persons experiencing homelessness, mental illness and/or substance addiction
