Job Summary
Lead or co-lead one or more groups of elementary-aged youth in the DC-area out-of-school time program; plan and implement literacy-focused, SEL, and enrichment activities; coordinate daily tutoring and homework support to advance academic progress; assist in development of lesson plans and deliver age-appropriate activities aligned with program goals; coordinate field trips and supervise youth during off-site activities; communicate with parents/families via ClassDojo and other approved channels; support the Program Coordinator with planning and implementing family engagement events; assist with pre/post tests and evaluation tools to measure youth progress; apply behavioral strategies (e.g., progressive discipline, conscious discipline, restorative justice) and collaborate with the team to create a positive youth development environment; ensure a safe, engaging program experience and maintain documentation; minimum qualifications include an associate degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience with elementary-aged youth; driver’s license with a clean record required; telework eligibility is indicated for the position.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in education, counseling, teaching, social work, behavioral science, or a related youth development field, and at least (3) years of experience working with elementary school aged youth in a classroom, after school or summer program setting
