Job Summary
Program Assistant – WIC program support at Brockton WIC Office. Responsibilities include reception/front desk duties, screening inquiries for program eligibility, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, guiding participants, and managing flow in waiting areas. Process participant certifications/recertifications, verify identity, residency, income and eligibility, and accurately enter data into WIC systems. Educate participants on WIC benefits, approved foods, and vendor usage; explain rights and responsibilities; provide referrals to MassHealth, SNAP, TAFDC, and other services. Handle issuing and reissuing food/formula benefits, maintain WIC card stock security, and assist with quality assurance and program compliance. Provide multi-site support, maintain a professional and respectful environment, and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of general office experience; healthcare/community-based services experience preferred. Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 1:00pm–6:00pm. Non-Exempt.
