Job Summary
Assist the CPC Adult Literacy Program as the Program Assistant by supporting outreach, intake, enrollment, and retention efforts; communicate with students via phone calls, emails, and WeChat to set up appointments and refer to additional services; support the administrative team with filing, data management, program records, scheduling make-up sessions, and communications with teachers; manage classroom paperwork including student applications, attendance, progress notes, worksheets, and homework; assist with ongoing advocacy efforts and travel to different community centers; participate in meetings and professional development; engage in online programming support; bilingual skills are required (Mandarin or Cantonese), with Spanish fluency preferred; position entails working in New York City, 35 hours per week, with compensation of $20.88 - $24.73 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum 1 year experience working with immigrant and low-English proficient population
- Must be fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese
- Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required
