Job Summary
Compile weekly census reports, maintain consumer medical records, and ensure compliance with Medicaid and NYS Office of Mental Health standards. Assist staff with data entry, create medical record charts, and archive documents for billing audits. Respond to telephone inquiries, triage messages for community visits, and provide receptionist duties when needed. Coordinate timesheet collection, manage petty cash accounts, and support enrollment in Medicaid and Health Home programs. Conduct electronic charting audits and run reports to support the Team Leader. Maintain program logs, update scheduling calendars, and ensure accurate information in the electronic medical record.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of administrative or program support experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of the impact of systemic and historical inequities on program participants
- A commitment to the mission of a community-based behavioral health organization
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Bilingual Spanish
- Ability to learn new systems and processes as needed
