Job Summary
Lead coaching responsibilities include serving as the direct contact with kids and families to ensure a safe and fun experience, planning practice drills using provided resources and curriculum, and leading both children and other coaches through program drills in an engaging way. Consistently move from one drill to the next to keep players engaged, identify volunteer fill-in spots to prevent downtime, and lead pre-game and post-game huddles emphasizing sportsmanship and mindfulness. Know and lead field set-up and clean-up each week, provide guidance to volunteers regarding drills or roles, and offer support if issues arise with parents, players, or venues. Report any player, parent, referee, or coach issues to the site lead. This part-time role offers opportunities for advancement within the youth sports industry.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of coaching or teaching
- Attend mandatory staff training
