Job Summary
As a Deputy Public Guardian (Program Analyst 3), you will be the statutorily authorized, court-appointed public guardian for adults unable to make decisions, providing ongoing guardianship services, investigating guardianship needs, preparing petitions and motions, testifying in proceedings, and developing/refining public guardianship services across Oregon. The role involves coordinating with state agencies, counties, and local programs to protect safety and rights, maintain confidentiality, analyze information, and generate plans and guidance for complex cases. A Bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience (or equivalent) is required, along with a valid driver’s license and guardianship certification within six months. The position is full-time, hybrid in the greater Portland area, based in Salem, Oregon, and includes benefits and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or related degree
- four years’ experience coordinating, administering, or working at an advanced level within a social service environment; OR seven years of related experience or education equivalent
