Job Summary
Plan and provide activities and childcare services for school-age children in after-school and summer day camp programs. Facilitate recreational activities, ensure they are age-appropriate and safe, and maintain cleanliness of the game room, kitchen, and library. Build positive relationships with parents, community leaders, and host organizations while reporting accidents to the supervisor. Drive passengers carefully, complying with all traffic and weather conditions to ensure safety. Requires a valid driver's license, DOT medical certificate, CPR/First Aid certification, and two years of experience in child development or driving. Part-time schedule of 25 hours weekly with pay between $14.00 and $15.00.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school
- Two years experience operating an automotive vehicle
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Valid state driver's license
- Valid State Commercial Driver's License
- C.P.R. and First Aid Certification
- DOT Medical Certificate
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language
- Ability to observe children and ensure their safety
- Ability to drive a passenger vehicle ensuring the safety of passengers and protection of the vehicle
