Job Summary
Assist with supervising children participating in activities within the RJKCCC, including education, recreation, arts and crafts, and physical education. Monitor children's activities to ensure their health and safety while applying knowledge of First Aid and CPR principles. Lead and motivate participants in recreational events, demonstrating familiarity with standard athletic rules for sports like baseball, basketball, and football. Respond to emergency situations calmly and maintain effective relationships with people of all ages. Perform duties involving frequent sitting, standing, and walking in indoor and outdoor environments with potential weather-related discomforts. Requires valid state driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and six months of experience working with children in similar settings.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of First Aid and C.P.R
- Ability to ensure the safety of children
- Ability to monitor children's activities to ensure their health and safety
- Knowledge of the standard rules and techniques of athletic sports such as baseball, basketball, and football
- Ability to build effective and positive relationships with people of all ages
- Ability to lead and motivate people participating in recreational activities
- Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm and appropriate manner
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Six months experience working with children in educational, fitness, arts, crafts and other activities in a similar environment
- Valid state driver's license
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Infant/Child CPR Certification
