Job Summary
Plan and provide activities and childcare services for school-age children in after-school and summer day camp programs. Facilitate recreational activities and play time while maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the facility. Build positive relationships with parents, community leaders, and host agencies to ensure all obligations are fulfilled. Assist with transporting children and report any accidents to the supervisor accurately and timely. Clean up the game room, kitchen, and library daily, and pick up games and materials. Ensure all activities are age appropriate, stimulating, fun, and safe for the children.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school
- Two years experience operating an automotive vehicle
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Valid state driver's license
- C.P.R. and First Aid Certification
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language
- Ability to observe children and ensure their safety
