Job Summary
Provide program administrative analysis, process improvement, and coordination support to NOAA Fisheries' Office of the Assistant Administrator (OAA). Develop and implement improved methods, templates, trackers, dashboards, checklists, and automated tools; assist in cost-documentation processes; provide strategic calendaring for NOAA Fisheries executive leadership; format and quality-control draft materials; organize training on plain language and administrative processes; develop communications plans; apply government communications practices including GPO style and Section 508 accessibility; produce presentations and visual materials to convey complex information to non-technical audiences. Start date contingent upon award; location at NMFS Headquarters in Silver Spring, MD, with possible telework/remote support when authorized.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience, or a Master’s degree
- strong written and oral communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, electronic file management, calendars, spreadsheets, and approved collaboration tools
- ability to learn NOAA/DOC systems and procedures quickly
- Experience developing process improvements, trackers, dashboards, briefing materials, plain language products, communications support materials, Section 508/accessibility checks, and executive-level coordination tools
