Job Summary

Coordinate academic administration processes including subject outlines, assessments, examinations, moderation activities, and results administration for Western Sydney University programs at Sydney City Campus. Ensure compliance with University requirements and quality assurance frameworks while managing learning management system sites and maintaining accurate records. Support teaching delivery through timetable coordination, classroom requirements, and scheduling updates, alongside student-facing activities such as enquiries, onboarding, and stakeholder communications. Maintain databases, reporting systems, and operational records to support academic leadership and teaching staff in a high-volume environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent administrative experience, ideally within an education or similarly complex environment
  • Demonstrated experience in academic or operational administration, with an understanding of compliance-driven processes
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to support high-volume, time-sensitive operations
  • High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and administrative systems
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, responsive service to students and staff
  • All applicants must have full working rights within Australia to be considered
  • Successful candidates depending on their role may be, required to provide a Working with Children Check and undergo a Police Check

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in the higher education sector or similar regulated environment
  • Knowledge of the ESOS Act (2000) and the National Code (2017)
  • Experience supporting teaching delivery, assessments, or academic program coordination
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g. vUWS/Blackboard Ultra)
  • Experience in process monitoring, reporting, or operational coordination
