Job Summary
Full-time faculty position in Systematic Theology responsible for teaching and mentoring students, ensuring course delivery meets intended outcomes, supervising Ph.D. dissertations, and contributing to the seminary’s mission through publishing and service. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, strong teaching skills, experience in pastoral ministry, and a commitment to the theology of the Westminster Standards. Responsibilities include teaching courses in systematic theology and related fields, engaging in research, and collaborating with faculty.
Required Qualifications
- PhD (earned or nearly completed) in Systematic Theology, Church History, Historical Theology, or Apologetics
- Ordained or ordainable in a NAPARC or similar denomination
- At least 5 years’ experience in teaching, pastoral, or related ministry
- Demonstrable excellency in research, teaching, godliness, collegiality, personal deportment, and other relevant skills.
- Deep understanding of and sympathy for Westminster Theological Seminary’s mission, history, and distinctives
- Subscription to the Westminster Standards
