Job Summary
Tenure-track Professor of Humanities leading the IDS and Gen Ed programs. Responsibilities include teaching and mentoring in history, political science, art, geography, and interdisciplinary studies; chairing the IDS and general education initiatives; recruiting and supervising adjunct faculty; collaborating with Traditional, Early College, and Prison Education partners to enhance student experience; contributing to program planning and evaluation; staying current with scholarly developments; participating in departmental and university committees and events; advising students; maintaining at least five office hours weekly; and promoting inclusive campus values.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Humanities (preferred) or Master’s degree in a field in the Humanities
- Five years of successful teaching experience at the University level (preferred) or Five or more years in research or related professional career
