Job Summary
Develop and maintain an active research agenda in finance while teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels and supervising graduate programs. Serve as an active member of the Accounting and Finance section, undertaking agreed-upon administrative duties including committee work and curriculum development. Prioritize candidates with strong bilingual communication skills in French and English, with expertise in corporate finance or investment. The position is a new tenure-track role commencing July 1, 2027, with a starting salary of $99,377. Applicants must submit a cover letter, CV, research statement, teaching philosophy, evaluation reports, and three references by September 14, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Finance or in a related discipline
- Commensurate with experience, demonstrate a strong record of, or clear potential for, strong scholarly research as evidenced by publications, competitive funding, and a well-articulated research program
- Demonstrated, or strong potential for teaching excellence
- Demonstrated ability to teach finance courses in French such as Finance Theory, Portfolio Management, Advanced Corporate Finance, or related courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels
- Demonstrate commitment to, or strong potential for service, including committee work, curriculum development, or student-centered activities, among others
- Excellent communication skills in French
- Passive knowledge of one's second official language (English) is a requirement for tenure
- English-French bilingualism is an asset
