Job Summary
Teach five courses annually in Chinese language instruction and specialized content areas such as cultural studies, film, or literature. Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen the Chinese program through curriculum development, student advising, and mentoring. Direct study abroad initiatives, teach first-year seminars, and offer interdisciplinary courses on Asian Studies. Pursue an active research agenda and perform university service. Join one of the largest Asian Studies departments among liberal arts undergraduate institutions committed to engaged learning and interdisciplinary teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chinese or a related field expected by Aug 1, 2027
- Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese
- Native or near-native fluency in English
