Job Summary
Lead data science research and train the next generation of AI graduates and researchers. Set the research direction for machine learning within the School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences across deep learning, natural language processing, and mathematical foundations. Mentor academic staff and higher degree research candidates while leading curriculum development for industry and research careers. Build partnerships with industry, employers, and government, and contribute to leadership in the responsible and trustworthy use of AI. Deliver research influencing industry practice and establish pathways connecting students to employer opportunities.
