Job Summary
Design, analyze, and disposition repairs for structural non-conformances in the pre-fal, final line, and preflight areas of the A220 aircraft to restore design integrity. Rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength and stiffness within a production schedule-driven environment while interpreting engineering drawings and providing guidance to production teams. Lead internal audits adhering to ISO, Transport Canada, NADCAP, and six sigma standards, and collaborate closely with engineering disciplines and support groups to achieve business objectives. Work autonomously in a high-pressure ramp-up production environment, maintaining current knowledge of aircraft structures to recommend innovations for quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- University or College degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or in a related field
- Minimum five (5) years experience in Material Review Board (MRB) or airframe design in aerospace
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft structures & system installation technical requirements
- Practical working experience using V5
- Bilingual (English and French)
- High sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high-pressure and in a ramp-up production environment
- Awareness of any potential compliance risks
- Commitment to act with integrity
