Job Summary
Professional Technician – part-time/year-round role in the Animal Welfare Division. Responsibilities include assisting in departmental projects, handling and adjusting complaints, providing technical support to professional staff, transporting materials and driving between work sites, supporting off-site programs, and performing GIS drafting, mapping, and graphic design tasks. Additional duties span work order/inventory control, marketing/communications, hazard abatement, inspections (oil and gas, storm shelter, fences), installing communications equipment/mobile devices, environmental field work, documentation, and helping write plans and standard operating procedures. Requires a valid driver license and is a safety-sensitive, non-exempt position within the City of Oklahoma City.
Required Qualifications
- Licenses, certifications and/or relevant experience and education typical for the program specialty
- Possession of a valid Driver License (Operator) required for related divisions
- FLSA status: Non-Exempt
- Background check and drug testing may be required for conditional offers
- Safety-sensitive position designation
