Professional Surveyor & Mapper

Job Summary
Review and process record plats, municipal atlas sheets, and legal descriptions while performing certified land surveys and monitoring private surveying firms. Prepare right-of-way deeds, verify sketches, and determine plan adaptability to field conditions. Review building plans for permits, index public records, and provide office and field supervision of crews. Perform complex mathematical calculations, check field notes, and testify in court as a Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper when assigned. Coordinate selection and distribution of survey work among private firms. Work pre, during, and post emergency operations related to tropical storms, hurricanes, and fires.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida
- Some (6 months - 2 years) experience in land surveying and mapping work as a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper
- Experience in right-of-way mapping
- Experience in control surveys
- Experience in engineering design surveys
- Experience in utility mapping
- Experience in boundary surveys
- Experience in topographic surveys
- Experience in ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys
- Experience in platting
- Experience in condominium documents
- Experience in construction staking
- Experience in as-built surveys
- The work is light and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force to move objects

Desired Qualifications
- Four Year degree in Geometrics or a related field, is a plus
