Job Summary
The Pro-Fee Surgical Coding Specialist III will fully abstract, code and release inpatient services and procedures for multiple specialties including Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular, ensuring correct coding, billing compliance, and complete charge capture. Responsibilities include collaborating with providers on coding and charge capture topics. Candidates should have three years of surgical coding experience and relevant coding certifications such as CPC, CCS, CCS-P, or RHIT.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of Surgical coding experience in a healthcare role
- Coding Certification (CPC or CCS or CCS-P or RHIT)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of ICD10, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Working knowledge of CCI edits, healthcare insurance guidelines and other regulatory guidance
- Specialty Coding knowledge
- Pro-Fee coding preferred
- Epic experience preferred
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment and solve problems effectively
