Job Summary
Conduct skill-specific instruction for youth athletes across beginner to advanced levels in team, camp, clinic, small group, and 1-on-1 settings. Build relationships with athletes, families, and community coaches while delivering age-appropriate content. Collaborate with co-instructors on programs and manage equipment setup and breakdown for training events. Attend staff and company meetings as needed. Perform frequent local travel for surrounding community programs. Requires collegiate or professional playing/coaching experience and strong organizational skills. Base rate is $19/hr, with team training and camps ranging from $28–$40/hr and 1-on-1 lessons at $40–$70/hr. SU is a youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball.
Required Qualifications
- Played and/or coached at the collegiate and/or professional levels
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructional plans and station rotations tailored for various ages and abilities
- Ability to adjust instructional plans for athletes, as needed
- Supportive and encouraging mindset and attitude with colleagues and clients
- Learning and utilizing technologies to enhance instruction and athlete experience
- Frequent local travel for programs run in surrounding communities
