Job Summary
Professional Services Technical Architect responsible for leading the technical direction of customer engagements from scoping through delivery. Design high-level architectures and implementation plans for GitLab infrastructure, coordinate across Professional Services and partners, support cloud and on-prem deployments with Terraform, Ansible, and GET, and perform migrations to GitLab using Congregate. Deliver DevOps/DevSecOps consulting, create reusable collateral (documentation, delivery kits, training materials), and share product updates. Lead the full technical delivery lifecycle, produce detailed designs, assess scalability and security considerations, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and SOW. Manage deployments, migrations, governance frameworks, and stakeholder communications in a remote, asynchronous environment; mentor teams and contribute to training materials. Maintain delivery automation assets, assist with SOW scoping, and stay current on GitLab releases while ensuring a 55% billable utilization. Develop case studies and best-practice methodologies; work closely with customer project teams to articulate work at the task level.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other advanced technical degree, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering two or more of the following consulting services: source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting services
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure in cloud providers and on-premises environments, using Terraform and Ansible
- Experience performing migrations to GitLab, including using Congregate or similar migration tooling
- Ability to translate requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing engagement
